After acquiring the perfect lot at Okema Beach, the next challenge was designing a cabin that honoured the pristine surroundings, blending rather than distracting the natural beauty. With a love of mid-century design and a desire to include mountain modern inspirations, Okema Cabin was born.

Taking our cues from the naturalist vibe of Emma’s northernmost lake, and inspiring views of Fairy Island right off the deck, we honoured the artistic heritage this community is known for. Hand-painted finishing on the steel fireplace, layers of warm wood and a highly textural palette soothe the soul.
